The New Jersey Devils signed defenseman Dmitry Kulikov on Thursday to a one-year, $1.15 million deal.
Kulikov, who turns 30 on Oct. 29, had two goals and eight assists (10 points) in 51 games last season for the Winnipeg Jets. The native of Russia added two assists in four playoff games.
"Kulikov is an experienced, physical left shot defenseman who skates well," New Jersey general manager Tom Fitzgerald said in a release. "His ability to play both the right and left side brings value to our defense corps."
Kulikov has 170 career points (35 goals, 135 assists) in 677 career games over 11 seasons with the Florida Panthers (2009-16), Buffalo Sabres (2016-17) and Jets.
Kulikov was a first-round selection (14th overall) by the Panthers in the 2009 draft.
