Kerrith Whyte took 23 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown and Alex Kessman made three of his six field goals in the fourth quarter to help the Memphis Showboats get by the host New Jersey Generals 25-16 for their fifth straight win on Sunday in Canton, Ohio.

Whyte's 2-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter gave Memphis a 13-3 lead by halftime, and the Showboats (5-3) relied on Kessman's leg from there. Kessman went 6-for-6 on field goals, all from 38 yards or closer.
